Warm. Ben was so unbelievably warm. And for all the exhaustion and pain, Alec was suddenly moving to wind his arms about his twin's chest desperately. Pressing his face into the solid plane, he turned his head to press his ear over his heart. Even for how he was right now, Alec didn't break. He never gave them what they wanted. He'd never give up Ben.
"Thank you." Voice calming a little, he clutched at his twin a little tighter. This was the only place he'd ever felt safe. Tipping his head up to look up at his twin, he finally pried one hand up to let his fingertips run along Ben's jaw. The conviction he'd had to go in the first place... he said it was for Logan too but the reality was... "I only went for you... because you love her so much."
His brow furrowed just a little before he ducked his head and pressed into his chest again. "I didn't want to see you upset anymore..." Letting his hand just rest on the side of Ben's neck, he closed his eyes. "I didn't want you to have to go back to Manticore for any reason. Never messed up so royally before..."
